Assistant Director of People and Culture

circa £135,000

The GLA plays a role in many areas of London life. The Mayor is responsible for a significant budget of over £20billion, impacting on the lives of Londoners every day.

London is best served by a GLA that is equal, diverse, representative and inclusive. Being an inclusive organisation is central to our values. We want all our staff to have the same positive experience of working, progressing and feeling they belong in the GLA.

The Assistant Director of People and Culture is the senior leader responsible for the shaping workforce strategy, organisational culture and people capability across the GLA.  They create the conditions for high performance, inclusion and engagement.   Operating in a complex, politically accountable environment,  our new Assistant Director will act as a trusted adviser to the corporate management team, chief officer, Mayor and London Assembly.  Strategic influence, sound judgement and evidence-based insight will underpin the strong relationships required across the GLA group and with trade unions.
