Director of Regeneration and Planning
circa £130,000
Merton is a borough going places, driven by an ambitious political and officer leadership team armed with a brand-new blueprint to build a better Merton for all.
The Borough is served by the best transport network in south London. It has beautiful green spaces, great schools, good family homes, and some fantastic urban centres, as well as a strong sense of community and identity.
The Council are determined to build on these opportunities to unlock the untapped potential in Merton that has been, for too long, overlooked. These three new Director posts sit at the very heart of this change – it couldn’t be a more exciting time to join Merton.
As Director of Regeneration and Planning you will lead the £1bn Morden town centre regeneration scheme and grow the council’s development pipeline to deliver 1,000 council homes by 2032. Your track record and strong relationships with registered providers and developers will enable you to steer complex procurement, manage stakeholder expectations and ensure the council and residents’ vision for the borough is deliverable in a challenging market.
